  • 2 Cup Overnight Soaked Chickpeas
  • 2 tea bags
  • ¼ Cup Oil
  • Water
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Cup Tomato Sauce
  • 10-12 Black Pepper
  • 4-5 Cloves
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 1 ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 2 tbsp Amchur Powder
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Julien Ginger and Green Chili


  1. In a deep pan add chickpeas
  2. Add black pepper, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds, cloves and salt.
  3. Add tea bags and water
  4. Let it boil until chickpeas are tender
  5. In another pan pour ¼ cup of oil
  6. Add onion puree
  7. Cook until onions turn golden brown
  8. Add ginger garlic paste
  9. Add tomato sauce and rest of the spices
  10. Cook for 3-5 minutes
  11. Add chickpeas in it with the remaining water (1 Cup Approx)
  12. Mix well add fresh ginger, green chili and cilantro
  13. Add water as needed and let it simmer until it reaches your required consistency
  14. Garnish with fresh cilantro and lemon
  15. Serve with Naan
