Chicken Karahi Recipe

  • Chicken 2 pounds
  • Medium tomatoes 5-6
  • Green Chili 2-3
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tbsp
  • Black Pepper 1 ½ tbsp.
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Fresh Cilantro Ginger and Lemon


  • Tomatoes and water. Cook until the tomatoes turn soft.
  • Add the rest of the spices
  • Mix well, add ginger garlic paste. cover and let it cook for 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
  • After 15 minutes the water has evaporated and masala thickened even without oil.
  • At this point we will add oil.
  • Add green chilies
  • 1 added half tbsp. of black pepper in the beginning and 1 tbsp now.
  • Pour yogurt
  • Cover and let it cook for 5 minutes
  • Sprinkle fresh cilantro
