  • ¼ Cup Oil
  • 2 Cups Rice
  • 4 Cups Water
  • 1.5 lb Chicken
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 2 Large Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Chicken Cube
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 6-8 Black Pepper Corn
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick


  • Take 2 cups of Basmati Rice
  • Wash and soak for 30 Minutes
  • In a pan add oil
  • Add chopped or sliced onion
  • Sauté the onion and add cumin seeds, black cardamom, pepper corn, cloves and cinnamon stick
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Add tomatoes
  • Add salt and chicken cube and cook for 7-10 minutes
  • Add Chicken cook for 5 minutes on high heat
  • Then turn the heat to medium and cook for 15 minutes
  • Then Add 4 cup of water for 2 cup of rice
  • Let it come to a boil
  • Drain the water and add soaked rice to the boiling water
  • Cook until 90% of the water evaporates
  • Cover and cook on lowest flame for 15
