  • 1 Cup Chickpeas
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 2 Large Potatoes
  • ½ Cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Crushed Coriander Seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Black Cardamom
  • Chicken Cube
  • 1 tbsp Amchur


  • Soak Chickpeas overnight add ¼ tsp baking soda in the water
  • Boil chickpeas until tender
  • Do not discard the chickpea water
  • Boil Potatoes
  • Blend boiled potatoes and ½ cup of boiled chickpeas together
  • Blend 1 onion
  • In oil add ginger garlic paste and fry
  • Add onion puree
  • Cook for 5-7 minute
  • Add salt, red chili powder and flakes, black pepper, turmeric and mix well
  • Add blended potatoes and chick peas cook well and add the rest of the spices and chicken cube
  • Cook for 10 minutes
  • Add boiled chickpeas mix well
  • Add chickpea water
  • Cook until you reach your required consistency
  • Add green chili and fresh cilantro
  • Serve hot
