  • 2.5 lbs. Chicken
  • ½ Cup Oil
  • 1 ½ Cup Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Corn
  • 2 tsp Coriander Seeds
  • 1 tbsp. Cumin Seeds
  • 3 Whole Red Chilies
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • Fresh Ginger
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Lime


  • In a pan heat oil
  • Add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • Fry for a minute
  • Add chicken and salt
  • Let chicken fry from one side then flip the pieces
  • While chicken is frying
  • Dry roast Black pepper corns, coriander Seeds, cumin seeds and whole red chili
  • Grind the spices or pound them in mortar and pestle
  • Mix in the yogurt
  • When the chicken is ¾ done add yogurt
  • Cook until chicken is fully cooked and coming off the bone tender
  • When Oil separates the masala add freshly cut cilantro, ginger and lime wedges
  • You can add more black pepper at this time if needed
  • Cover and let it sit on low heat for 5 minutes
  • Serve with Roti, Naan, kulcha or rice
