Khichdi for Baby
9 Months +
• 1tbsp rice
• 1tbsp yellow lentils (Masoor Daal)
• Pinch of Salt
1. Soak rice and lentils separately
2. Boil 1 cup of water and add lentils, cook until soft
3. Add rice and cook for 10 minutes
4. Add pinch of salt
5. When the khichdi is all cooked and soft according to your baby’s taste and the water is evaporated. Turn off the stove, cover with lid and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
6. Do not serve very warm
7. You can add shredded chicken.
8. For babies over a year old you can add yoghurt on the side as well.
