  • 2 Cups Soaked Chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp Shan Channa Masala
  • 1 Onion
  • Water
  • Oil


  • Soak 2 cups chickpeas overnight or use canned chickpeas
  • Fill the pan with 8 cups of water add chick peas
  • Add Shan Channa Masala
  • Let it cook until Chickpeas are very tender
  • Mash the chickpeas a little
  • Fry the onion until brown and crispy
  • Add onion and the oil in which they are fried in the chickpeas
  • Cook until you get required consistency
  • Serve it with Naan, Pratha or Chapati
  • 10. Make a channa chaat buy adding your favorite vegetables
  • 11. Make a snack by topping channay on saltines
