  • 2 Cups Soaked Chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp Shan Channa Masala
  • 1 Onion
  • Water
  • Oil


  1. Soak 2 cups chickpeas overnight or use canned chickpeas
  2. Fill the pan with 8 cups of water add chick peas
  3. Add Shan Channa Masala
  4. Let it cook until Chickpeas are very tender
  5. Mash the chickpeas a little
  6. Fry the onion until brown and crispy
  7. Add onion and the oil in which they are fried in the chickpeas
  8. Cook until you get required consistency
  9. Serve it with Naan, Pratha or Chapati
  10. 10. Make a channa chaat buy adding your favorite vegetables
  11. 11. Make a snack by topping channay on saltines
