Parathay

A layered flatbread typically made with flour, salt, butter & water. Different ingredients can be used to make variations of paratha. Here are a few.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm All-purpose Flour
  • 4 tbsp Semolina Sooji-Rava
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 Cup Lentil Channa Daal
  • 1 Cup Ground Beef
  • 1 Cup Ground Chicken
  • Salt
  • Red Chili
  • Black pepper
  • Oil
  • Water
  • Spring Onion
  • Red Onion
  • Cilantro
  • Green Chili
  • Bell Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Step 1
  • Make Dough
  • Take all-purpose flour
  • Add semolina, salt and oil in it.
  • Knead well with warm water
  • Set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Boil Lentil and Potatoes
  • Step 3
  • Cut Vegetables
  • Step 4
  • Make dough balls
  • And set aside for 30 minutes
  • Step 5
  • Cook Chicken and Beef
  • Chicken:
  • In a pan take oil
  • Add onion and green chili, saute for 5 minutes
  • Add chicken and cook well
  • Add salt and red chili
  • Mix well cook for 3-4 minutes
  • Transfer in a bowl
  • Add fresh spring onion, onion and cilantro
  • Beef:
  • In a pan take oil
  • Add onion, green chili and bell pepper
  • Cook for 5 minutes
  • Add beef and cook well
  • Add salt and black pepper
  • Transfer to bowl
  • Add fresh spring onion, onion and cilantro
  • Step 6
  • Add Spices into Potatoes and Lentil
  • Mash potatoes and lentils
  • Transfer in bowls separately
  • Add ½ tsp red chili, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp chaat masala in each bowl
  • Add fresh cilantro in lentil bowl
  • Add fresh onion, green chili and cilantro in potatoes
  • Step 7
  • Shred Mozzarella Cheese
  • Step 8
  • Stuff and Fry Parathas
  • Step 9
  • Freeze the rest of the parathas
