Channa Daal (Gram Lentils)

Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • 250 g Gram Lentils
  • 1 Medium Onion and 1 small onion
  • 1 Large Tomato
  • 4 Oil
  • 1 Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tea spoon Green chili paste
  • 1 tea spoon Salt
  • Half tea spoon Red chili
  • 1 tea spoon Cumin powder
  • 1 table spoon Coriander powder
  • ΒΌ tea spoon turmeric
  • Some water

Instructions
 

  • Add oil in a pot
  • Then add onion and cook until golden brown
  • Add tomato and cook until tender
  • Add a little bit of water
  • Add all the spices and some water to make a paste like consistency
  • Add lentils
  • Cook for about 5 minutes
  • Then add 2 glass of water and cook for half an hour to 45 minutes
  • Fry small onion and add when daal is well done
  • 10. Serve with rice, naan or chapati
