I recreated my Moms traditional recipe For Easter

I recreated my Mom’s traditional recipe on Easter



  • 3 Boiled Eggs
  • 250 g Rice
  • 5 tb spoon Sugar
  • 8-10 oz Fresh Orange Juice
  • Orange Zest or Peel
  • 4-5 Cardamom
  • Raisins and Nuts to taste
  • Yellow Food color
  • 4 tb spoon oil


  • Par boil rice add a pinch of food color in water
  • In another pan add oil and roast cardamom seeds
  • Add sugar, orange juice and orange zest
  • Let it turn into syrup
  • Add raisins
  • Cook for about 5 minutes
  • Add boiled rice
  • Dry the water
  • Lower the flame and cover rice with paper and put the lid on for 5-10 minutes
  • 10. Serve in a platter with eggs on top.
